Danielle will be developing a methodology to create sub-monthly maps in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago of glacier melt/surface conditions, using newly available SAR datasets from the Canadian Space Agency and the European Space Agency. It will be the first of its kind to generate region-wide glacier melt, facies, and geometry change maps across this region.
She completed her MSc. from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Natural Resource Management (2018-2020). Her master thesis predicted melt water runoff from a drinking water catchment in Greenland and evaluated the current performance of climate models on the periphery of Greenland.
When Danielle is not thinking about and studying glaciers she can be found in the moutains or in the hills on her skis, splitboard, rope or feet.
