Monika is in the Master of Science in Geography program. She is interested in the interactions between glaciers and other earth processes.
Her research focuses on the changes in velocity of the Otto Glacier, a surge-type glacier on Ellesmere Island, Canada. She will analyze satellite data from the 1990s to the present day in order to fully characterize Otto’s velocity changes, and investigate possible causes.
When not doing research, Monika enjoys doing astrophotography, running, and anything outdoors.
