Courtney Bayer

Courtney is in the MSc Geography program and is researching changing glacier dynamics in Western Canada (Columbia Icefields) induced by climate change through using SAR data. Before beginning her MSc, Courtney worked on a research project with an NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award and investigated seasonal velocity changes of Trinity and Wykeham Glaciers on Ellesmere Island.

Courtney’s BSc was completed at the University of Waterloo in Honours Life Physics with a Geography and Environmental Management minor.

When not working, Courtney enjoys spending time outdoors, typically skiing in the winter and spending time at her cottage in the summer.
