Katie Croutch

Katie is an honour’s Climate an Environmental Change student in the Department of Geography and Environmental management. She has broad interest in climate driven sea ice changes and the associated biological implications of these changes. For her honour’s thesis, Katie will be studying sea ice change and the potential implications for Killer whale populations in the eastern Canadian Arctic. She has past work experience as an environmental consultant, in particular collecting vegetation and wildlife surveys. She has also studied the links between climate change, biodiversity and social justice issues within the context of a field course held in South Africa.
